Technology and Library

Technology is an ever changing and evolving field.  Here at St. Mary of the Purification school we focus on the development of technological foundations and the introduction of innovative skills.  In our technology program we focus on teaching computer basics, internet safety and decorum, and coding.  We use a variety of tools, such as, Khan Academy, Google and its apps and various educational programs that the students learn to navigate independently.
The goal of our technology program is to develop students who are well grounded in the foundations and are able to use creativity and the skills learned to use as a scaffold to build for their future.  At this time we are using desktops and one to one technology.

Our library is open during the instructional day. All students attend library classes at least once a week.  Students are taught the importance of library etiquette, library skills and are strongly encouraged to check out books.  Parents may also visit the library and check out age appropriate books for their children.
